Pennsylvania Michael Connelly is a studio potter and teacher. Michael received his B.F.A and M.F.A from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Connelly has completed residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Peters Valley Craft Center and Mendocino Art Center. He has taught and presented lectures and workshops at various venues around the country, including classes at Alfred University, Hartford Art School, University of Montana, Chester Springs Studio and Touchstone Center for Crafts. Michael has shown widely in such venues as the Ferrin Gallery, Lennox Massachutes, Slater Museum of Art, Norwich Connecticut, Lacoste Gallery of American Craft, Concorde, Massachusetts, Pewabic Pottery, Detroit, Michigan, The Clay Studio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Fifth Element Gallery, Portland, Oregon. His utilitarian pottery is in the permanent collections of the China Yaoware Museum, Tonchuang, Peoples Republic of China, the Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art, Alfred, New York and Pitzer College, Claremont, California. |
