Biography

Steve grew up in the town of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from the Hartford Art School in 1993. He went on to spend a year studying at the Kansas City Art Institute. He received his Masters of Fine Arts Degree from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1996. In 1998, Steve spent the year as a resident artist at The Archie Bray Foundation for Ceramic Arts. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at the University of Alaska Anchorage. 

Aside from teaching, Steve has been consistently making and showing his work. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and sales throughout Alaska and the lower forty eight. Recently, he was invited to participate in the North American Pottery Festival at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis MN. In February 2006, he will be having a solo exhibition at Kobo Gallery in Seattle, Washington.
